Final Week Capstone Project

I had a lot of fun doing this project. I learned a lot about guitar and music theory, as well as how I learn best and stay focused on a long project like this. Over the course of the last 4 weeks I've spent more time playing guitar consistently than I had in the 4 months prior, most likely. It was a challenge, no doubt, but it was a good experience to try to find new ways to get better. While there are teachers and curriculums, there is no specific rule book for how to get better at something like guitar. I think with the eclectic resources I used, I was able to reach my goal of learning about guitar and music theory, whi...

Week 3 Capstone Project

A story I have from this week has to do with the different guitar's I've been playing. I picked up my dad's guitar to play at one point this week and the strings were thick and hard to play. It could be interesting to look into what makes strings sound the way that they do, aside from the tension that makes them play a certain note.  On the front of my final video, I've decided on a song and I have been practicing the way I want to play it. There will be two parts layered over each other, which is something I've wanted to do for a while. I always thought it was slightly annoying to only get to play one part at a time and now I will be able to here them combined. I've attached 3 video clips of me playing some of the songs I've been pract...
